« Chère grande équipe de BMSO,
Four years ago we arrived at BMSO looking for a different school for Mateo. He really needed a change. He was a quiet boy that didn’t feel confident at all. His previous school had failed to provide him with the safe environment and the positive reinforcement that he needed to blossom. He was loosing little by little his desire to learn. We were very concerned about that.
It was like his teachers were there waiting for him to arrive in CE1 and give him what he needed! Every single person of the teaching and administration’s team was so nice to him that he adored his new school right away! We watched him change and happily grow . What a relief!
Then CE2 , CM1 and CM2 passed too quickly and Mateo continued to meet great teachers, to gain confidence and to improve in every subject at school. Even in sports that is not at all our family’s biggest strength. Incredible!
You cannot imagine how much we are thankful to you all! You all saved Mateo’s life.
Tonight he was moved and told us about his last assembly in elementary school. How teachers and children were praising each other and trying to be nice to each other.
In this violent, complicated and crazy world you all make a difference! Thank you so much to Ms. Russell, Mme. Lepage, Mme. Delavenne, Mme. Roux, Ms. Basset, Ms. D. P., Ms. Goldsack, Mr. Regan, Mme. Virmont, Mme Beatham, Mme. Farah. Thank you to the preschool team and Mme. Biquet and to the Board members that work hard so that this school can exist! Thank you for your love, creativity, generosity and intelligence.
I’m sure that sometimes you go through difficult moments and I know how much energy it takes to work with children. Don’t ever forget you are those children’s models . They need you to grow up believing that learning is fun, that they can love and be loved, respect and accept everyone around them.
Merci, merci, merci! »

“My daughter Otilia is now 12 years old and in the first year of French secondary school. She is bi-lingual and went to the BMSO (formerly the ELMS) for 4 years from CP to CM1.

She blossomed within the small classes as an individual in her own time at her own rhythm, both in her work and in her creativity.

The school installs values such as respect for oneself and for others, which is an element of education in the broad sense that is very important to me.

She has a learning difficulty that she managed to deal with, without feeling uncomfortable. Perhaps the best advertisement for the school is that she loved it and never wanted to leave. 6eme, or the first year of secondary school, was a big change but she has adapted well and is a serious pupil with aspirations.

My 9 year old son has also been at the school for four years and he too is enormously fulfilled there. It is a great pleasure to have seen my daughter, and now my son, grow up in a caring and stimulating environment with lots of inter-active learning and space for the individual”.

« BMSO is a nurturing and caring school with a real sense of community and passion for ensuring quality education. The size of the school enables class teachers to form unique relations and build up a nice rapport with each individual student in the school’ ‘A school where the teachers are dedicated to bringing out the best in their students; academically, socially and personally in a creative and supportive environment ».
